What this site collects, what it is used for, and how long it is kept.

Who handles your data: Caramel Point, the legal entity behind the Caramel brand. For any question about this text, or to ask us to delete your data, write to sales@caramelpoint.com.
Chat conversations are recorded: We store what you type in the chat, the answer we give, the language, the time, and an identifier that ties the messages of one conversation together. We use it to understand what people ask and to improve the answers. That identifier lives in your browser while the tab is open and does not identify you on its own.
An external model rewords already-published answers: So the answer fits the way you asked, your question may be sent to an external language-model provider along with an answer already published on this site. Email addresses and phone numbers are stripped before it leaves. The model cannot add information: it only rewords approved text, and if it strays we deliver the original. Depending on the provider that answers, those questions may be retained and used to train models.
If you leave us your contact details: When you complete the contact flow we store your name, your email, your phone if you gave one, and what you told us, alongside the record of that conversation. They reach an internal team channel and we use them to reply to you. We do not sell them or pass them to third parties for commercial purposes.
If you apply for a role: Applications and CVs sent from the jobs section go to our internal recruiting system and are used only for that process.
Cookies: This site uses no tracking or advertising cookies. The conversation identifier is kept in your browser's session storage and is cleared when you close the tab.
How long we keep it: Conversation records are kept for twelve months and then deleted. Contact details are kept for as long as the commercial relationship, or the interest in one, lasts.
Your rights: You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data by writing to sales@caramelpoint.com. We answer within the deadlines set by applicable law.
